Research Summary

Research Associate in Computational Genomics in Prof Sadaf Farooqi’s GOOS team on genomics of obesity/thinness and rare diseases. A particular focus is the role of genomic variants in hypothalamic dysfunction. We perform computational analysis of whole-exome sequencing, RNA-seq and metabolomics together with ‘omics of hypothalamic function derived from model systems.

Joined the GOOS team with several years’ post-doctoral experience in cancer genomics (King’s College London) and a background in Mathematics (MA/Part III/MMath, Cambridge) and Computational Biology/Bioinformatics (PhD, Functional Genomics group at EMBL-EBI).
