They say that you are what you eat, that you’re a product of your genes, a product of your environment. They say that a parent’s or even a grandparent’s diet can affect the health of younger generations. But how could that actually work and which of these is most important? Do individuals create their own metabolic destiny or is it really possible to pass on our ‘sins’?
Geneticist Giles Yeo (BBC Horizon and Trust me I’m a Doctor) hosts a ‘question time’ panel who will share expert viewpoints on this interesting topic and take questions from the audience.
This FREE public event is running alongside an international conference in Cambridge which will bring together researchers working on topics around metabolism, metabolic diseases and epigenetics.
