An introduction to Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) for Researchers

22nd June 2016 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Free

This workshop is open to all research staff conducting research studies and clinical trials with patients in the NHS. The event will provide an introduction to PPI, what and why, and will outline through case studies how you can conduct PPI. There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion and questions. The course will particularly suit people who are new to PPI and need to understand what it is and for those who are setting up their first PPI project.

Advice and guidance on how to incorporate PPI into grant funding proposals will also be provided by the Research Design Service for the East of England. Find out about local support available in the region to help you plan, deliver and build PPI into your research, that will improve your research for patients and services users and carers.

The course is free and is provided with support from NIHR Cambridge BRC, NIHR East of England CLAHRC, & the NIHR RDS East of England.

There are a limited number of places available and booking is on a first come first serve basis. If you book a place and are then unable to attend please let us know so that we can offer the place to others.

Alternatively please contact ppi@addenbrookes.nhs.uk

To help the course providers please state what you hope to get out of the course and what your current understanding of PPI is.
