Invitation to Newton Fund event on 12 March – Registration deadline: 5 March
The Newton Fund will be awarding £375m over five-years to research and development activities that promote economic development and welfare in partnership with: China, India, Brazil, South Africa, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Turkey, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Egypt or Kazakhstan. For more information, see their funder profile on our website.
To help researchers understand how to take advantage of these funding opportunities, the University is running an information event on the morning of 12th March. This will include introductions to the fund and its remit and a chance to ask questions, before breaking out into workshops around the broad areas of Education, Health, Economic Growth, Governance and Climate and Environment. The exact timings are still to be confirmed but the event will most likely finish after lunch.
The workshops aim to encourage researchers to think about potential collaborations which can be developed, with possible support available from the Network and the Research Strategy Office. We encourage everyone with potential interests in any of the partner countries to attend the event, or send a member of their team. To register, please email researchstrategy@admin.cam.ac.uk by 5th March.
