The PdOC Society and Personal and Professional Development (PPD) are pleased to offer the masterclass: “The Strategic Academic: Surviving and Thriving in Academe.”
Getting established as an academic can be challenging and confusing: so many demands and so little time. It can be hard to work out what matters and how to plan for a long-term future.
This workshop, led by Prof Shelda Debowski, offers you a simple road map to success, guiding you through the process of clarifying your career priorities, identifying your critical goals and harnessing your support network. The workshop will encourage you to think about how you are positioning yourself for success and explores some of the ways you can move toward a more strategic approach to your career.
After attending this workshop you will have developed:
· The ability to assess the effectiveness of your career strategy and trajectory?
· A capacity to identify and focus on critical career goals and priorities?
· Increased confidence in sourcing and effectively activating mentorship and sponsorship to support your career needs.
