This one day event aimed to connect researchers from a number of disciplines, working in or around Cambridge, and who have an interest in studying metabolomics and/or proteomics. The programme included presentations on metabolomics in the morning and on proteomics in the afternoon, with a chance for participants to make connections over lunch.
This event was supported by the Cambridge Metabolic Network, the Metabolomics Interest Group (MIG) and the Cambridge Clinical School Proteomics Group.
Post event note from the organiser: We feel that there was a consensus at the meeting that the Metabolomics Interest Group, hosted by the Cambridge Metabolic Network, should build on the meeting and establish a website and other resources to share expertise and provide a forum for expanding and fostering metabolomics throughout Cambridge. Similarly, we feel that there was a consensus that the meeting should be used to initiate a proteomics group, but that this should not be confined to the University Clinical School but rather include all with an interest in proteomics throughout Cambridge. This would also involve establishing a website and other resources to share expertise and provide a forum for expanding and fostering proteomics. Please do get in touch if you’d like to be kept updated or if you have any ideas or suggestions.
