It’s tempting to see the brain and gut as fulfilling different roles, one concerned with higher matters while the other does the dirty work: processing, absorbing and digesting the nutrients that we take in. We challenge this view and show that close interactions between the brain and the gut shape our eating behaviours.
A popular public talk given by Professors Fiona Gribble and Paul Fletcher as part of the 2017 Cambridge Science Festival is now available to watch. Paul and Fiona had some very interesting questions from the audience at Magdalene College’s Cripps Court and the Q&A session is also captured on film.
